YOUR MISSION

As an AV Designer at Moment Factory, your main role is to design and integrate complex audiovisual solutions adapted to the innovative multimedia environments of our projects. You are responsible for the technical implementation of AV systems, including media server programming and the integration of key elements such as video, lighting, and sound. 
In this role, you may lead the technical team at 25 Broadway, overseeing the audio, electrical, and lighting departments. Additionally, you will operate and lead the video section, with a focus on multimedia projection and conventional video systems.
As an AV Designer, you ensure the performance validation of AVoIP networks. Your expertise directly contributes to optimizing the user experience and operational efficiency of the installations. Working closely with the creative teams and technical direction, you actively participate in the conception, prototyping, production, and on-site integration phases, thereby guaranteeing the high performance and reliability of the multimedia solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop customized AV solutions for specific projects, ensuring the systematic integration of AV components in collaboration with project and creative teams.

• Configure and program media servers to efficiently orchestrate the distribution of multimedia content, including video, audio, and lighting integration.

• Implement AVoIP solutions, adapting deployments to modern standards for media flow distribution and control.

• Develop Show Control systems to guarantee precise and coordinated execution of multimedia elements in various operational project contexts.

• Configure and program media servers to manage the distribution of multimedia content, including audio, video, and lighting integration.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide operational support, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation to facilitate the operation and maintenance of complex AV systems.

• Develop training materials and organize sessions for technical teams and operations managers, ensuring a thorough understanding and effective use of AV technology solutions, thereby strengthening operational capabilities within the department.

• Operating on-site media server operation for events, including content ingestion and quality control to ensure a high-quality multimedia experience.

• Collaborate closely with creative teams to align technical solutions with the artistic visions of the projects, actively participating in project meetings to ensure the harmonization of technical and creative objectives.

• Interface with client, client assigned third party technical and production partners

YOUR BACKGROUND

• A degree in audiovisual technology, digital media, or a related field.

• Three or more years of practical experience in the design, integration, and management of complex audiovisual systems.

• Extensive knowledge of AV equipment, including matrices, video projectors, and lighting systems.

• Proficiency in programming and configuration of media servers, AV control systems, and network equipment (e.g., Disguise, Pixera, ISAAC, lab, Watchout, Q-SYS, etc.).

• Expertise in emerging technologies and AVoIP solutions for media flow connectivity and management.

• Applied experience in the installation, maintenance, and diagnosis of IT systems.

• Familiarity with networked audio systems (Dante, Q-LAN) and lighting communication protocols (Artnet, sACN).

• The ability to design Show Control systems for the effective implementation of AV systems in operation.

• A strong aptitude for diagnosing and solving technical problems.

• Skills in creating technical plans and diagrams for the efficient implementation of AV systems.

• Knowledge and/or interest in the field of AI.

• Solid knowledge of network configuration.

SPECIFIC WORKING CONDITIONS

• Availability for international travel for project setup and support.

• Schedule flexibility to meet project demands, including interventions outside normal working hours.

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. This range is specific to the NYC market and may vary for roles located outside of this region.
